Practice Boundary

Due to an increase in our practice population over the last couple of years and the workload associated with this, it has been necessary for the practice to consider our options to ensure we continue to provide a safe environment and high standard of care to our patients. We have therefore recently amended our practice boundary, with approval from NHS Tayside, to that of the Dundee City boundary.  This reduces the previous boundary which covered an extensive area including Errol, Piperdam, Monifieth, Monikie and Tealing.

We are aware this change may cause upset to patients who may be affected by this change, particularly those who may have a long-term condition or have been registered with the practice for a long time, however we must apply these changes in a consistent and fair way.

What this means for you:

If you are currently registered and move to a new address outwith our revised boundary, admin staff will advise that you will be required to register with another practice that covers your new address. Practitioner Services (NHS National Services Scotland) will also write to you regarding your address being outwith our boundary  - this correspondence will advise that you will have 8 days to find an alternative practice before being deducted from our List and will also include information on our to register with another GP.  Once deducted from our List, your records are returned to Practitioner Services awaiting your registration with a new practice.

Our revised boundary is detailed below.
